Background: we'd been using ActiveCampaign for years in our business and had lots of notes saved on our contacts. So changing was tricky because ActiveCampaign does NOT export notes when you do a standard data export. And we didn't have access to the API at the time so we couldn't get the notes that way.
We did our research and for a few reasons wanted to switch from ActiveCampaign to HighLevel... but didn't want to lose all those years worth of comments / notes.
Luckily, I figured out a way and I demo it in this video:
1. Used a Chrome plugin to save all the AC contact pages as html files
2. Wrote a Python script which loops through them all and scrapes to extract all the notes, and saves them to a csv file
3. Imported the notes into HighLevel
4. Did a happy dance!
I am sure there are others moving from ActiveCampaign to GoHighLevel (without using the API) so I thought showing this process might be helpful.
I'm happy to help you do the transfer, or share the Python scripts if that would be helpful too 🙂 reach out and we can chat.
UPDATE: I've had a few people find this article and ask about this, so i've launched a done-for-you service to migrate from ActiveCampaign to GoHighLevel. Take a look and reach out if this would be helpful for you.
